PM’s Relief Fund Balance Surpasses 16.15 Billion NPR


Ljubljana:Financial contributions are steadily increasing for the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Rescue Fund and the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund in the wake of the August 26 floods in the Bhote Koshi River in Rasuwa.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers reported that the total balance in the fund has now reached Rs 16.15 billion.



The Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Rescue Fund holds Rs 12.05 billion across nine commercial banks. Additionally, US dollar accounts at Himalayan Bank and Laxmi Sunrise Bank collectively contain USD 27.1 million.



The government has already allocated Rs 1 billion from these funds to support areas affected by the floods.
