Chitwan:Zumba dance and an egg walk event took place in Chitwan district today as part of World Egg Day celebrations.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Nepal Layers Poultry Farmers Association organized the program to highlight the significance of eggs in human health. The zumba dance was held at the premises of the Chitwan Association of Industries, while Ganesh Aryal, the Chief District Officer of Chitwan, inaugurated the ‘egg walk’.
The egg walk commenced at the Chitwan Association of Industries and concluded at the same location after passing through Hospital Road, Chaubiskothi, and Birendra Campus chowk. Participants emphasized the nutritional and health benefits of eggs during the procession.
The World Egg Day is celebrated on the second Friday of October each year, and this year’s theme is ‘Protein that Powers and Protects’. The observance, which started in Vienna, Austria, in 1996, marked its 30th anniversary this year.
