NC President Thapa Urges Party Members to Restore Public Trust

Putalibazar:Syangja Nepali Congress (NC) President Gagan Kumar Thapa has called on party leaders and cadres to engage directly with the public to regain lost trust in the party. Speaking at a welcome and interaction programme in Putalibazar, Syangja district, Thapa emphasized the importance of rebuilding public confidence.

According to National News Agency RSS, Thapa pointed out that the Nepali Congress has lost public trust, which he believes is more significant than losing votes. He expressed confidence that restoring trust would naturally lead to regaining votes.

Thapa highlighted the need to reach out to disgruntled voters and address their grievances. He stressed the importance of sensitizing them to the recent changes within the NC, urging party members at all levels to work together to win back voter confidence.

He noted the significance of the party’s 15th national general convention, which included changes aimed at reconnecting with the public. Thapa announced plans for a grassroots-level awareness campaign in December to inform people about these changes and strengthen ties with the community.

Furthermore, Thapa argued that the party’s general convention should be regarded as a democratic exercise rather than a competition, emphasizing that all party members have equal standing. He called for unity as the party progresses.
