Nairobi:Ten foreign nationals have been arrested in Nepal after allegedly engaging in illegal religious activities. The individuals, who entered the country on tourist visas, were involved in conducting a health camp for a Christian mission.
According to National News Agency RSS, the Ministry of Home Affairs has seized the documents of the arrested individuals, including doctors, and forwarded them to the Department of Immigration. The arrests occurred in Bargachhi of Kanepokhari Rural Municipality-7, Morang district, due to their involvement in promoting Christian religious activities without the necessary permits.
The health camp, organized by Pastor Pawel Dangal, was scheduled to run for four days starting October 25. The camp was held on a site designated for the construction of a hospital, and the participants did not have the required authorization from the district authorities monitoring foreign nationals.
