Home Ministry Suspends Activities of N-PABSAN

Accra:The government has officially suspended the activities of the National Private and Boarding Schools’ Association (N-PABSAN) until further notice, citing repeated non-compliance with government directives.

According to National News Agency RSS, the Ministry of Home Affairs announced the suspension in a public notice on Friday. The decision was made in accordance with Clause (2) of the National Directive Act-2018 BS, after officials from N-PABSAN were found to be acting against the organization’s statute and objectives.

The Ministry of Home Affairs had previously engaged in discussions with stakeholders on October 9, emphasizing the need for the educational organization to adhere to the Act and the directives issued on November 28, 2025. The failure to implement these requests led to the current action.

As a result of the suspension, any activities conducted under the N-PABSAN name by any groups or factions will be deemed illegal and could face further legal action. The organization has been experiencing internal disputes, with two parallel committees led by Subas Neupane and Gita Rana Chhetri operating within it.
