Bangladesh athletics team left here for Thailand today (Monday) to take part in the 25th Asian Athletics Championship scheduled to be held in Bangkok from July 12-16.
Four men athletes and one woman athlete will compete in the five-day meet. Country’s fastest athlete Imranur Rahmam will also take part in the championship. He is expected to join with the team from United Kingdom.
Earlier, on Sunday, Bangladesh Athletics Federation’s general secretary advocate Abdur Rakib (Montu) went to Thailand as congress delegate to take part in the 25th Asian AA Congress which will be held tomorrow (Tuesday).
