Quader mourns death of AL leader Fakhrul Islam Munshi

DHAKA, Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road

Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today expressed deep shock and

sorrow at the death of AL Advisory Council Member, former Deputy Minister and

ex-lawmaker AFM Fakhrul Islam Munshi.

In a condolence message, Quader prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul

and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.

Munshi passed away at the age of 77 while undergoing treatment at a city

hospital around 4:40 am on Saturday.

His son Razi Mohammad Fakhrul, MP, told BSS that his father suffered a brain

stroke on October 9 and he was taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of

United Hospital in the capital.

According to the family sources, he will be buried at Banani graveyard in the

city after his third namaz e-janaza at Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban premises

after Asr prayers.
