Kathmandu: President Ramchandra Paudel has allocated the responsibility of Acting Prime Minister to Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakash Man Singh. This assignment tasks Singh with overseeing the daily administrative duties of the Prime Minister during the absence of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the President’s Office issued a statement clarifying that President Paudel, acting in alignment with the Constitution of Nepal and following the recommendation of the Prime Minister, has decided to entrust Deputy Prime Minister Singh with this responsibility. This decision comes as Prime Minister Oli embarks on an official visit to the People’s Republic of China.
Prime Minister Oli departed for Beijing today at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart, Li Qiang. The official visit is scheduled to conclude with his return to Nepal on December 5.
