Agreements with China Bear Historic Importance: PM Oli.


BEIJING: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has emphasized the historical significance of the agreements made with China during his official visit. PM Oli, who is currently visiting China at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart, Li Qiang, expressed that his visit was instrumental in expanding and deepening the Nepal-China relationship. He made these remarks during a reception hosted by the Nepali Embassy.

According to National News Agency Nepal, PM Oli highlighted that as Nepal progresses with political stability towards prosperity, China’s investment and cooperation are crucial. He noted that Nepal intends to attract a significant number of Chinese tourists by 2025, expressing excitement about discussions with Chinese industrialists. The government, led by Nepal’s two major political parties, is committed to advancing modernism and prosperity in the country.

Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba remarked that PM Oli’s visit had elevated Nepal-China relations to a new level. Nepali Ambassador to China, Dr. Kr
ishna Prasad Oli, commented that the visit was beneficial in strengthening mutual trust and understanding between the two nations. Additionally, Nepal and China have reached an agreement on a Belt and Road Initiative Cooperation Framework during PM Oli’s visit.
