Dhanusha: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has stated that his party has consistently worked towards ensuring the rights of oppressed communities, including the Madhesi population. Prachanda reiterated this commitment while speaking at the party’s event, ‘Maoist with Public: Terai-Madhes Awareness Campaign,’ held at Soniga in Hansapur Municipality, Dhanusha district.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Prachanda emphasized his party’s prioritization of the development of Madhes, highlighting their significant role in the establishment of the Madhesi National Liberation Front and the implementation of federalism and inclusiveness aimed at the comprehensive development of the Madhes region.
He assured attendees that the party would steadfastly pursue the fulfillment of Madhes’ demands and apply pressure for the swift completion of the Postal Highway, a crucial infrastructure project for Madhes’ development. The Maoist Centre Chairman also expressed his party’s supportive stance regarding the locals’ demand for the prompt construction of the Kamala bridge.
Furthermore, he mentioned that the party is currently conducting a ‘door-to-door’ campaign to better understand the people’s needs and concerns. During the occasion, party leader Matrika Prasad Yadav promised that the party would remain dedicated to the cause of Madhesi citizens.
