Bhaktapur: Chairman of the Nepal Workers and Peasant Party (NWPP), Narayan Man Bijukchhe, has called upon party leaders and cadres to prioritize the nation and society over personal interests. He emphasized that collective well-being is key to the country’s prosperity.
According to National News Agency Nepal, during the ongoing eighth general convention of the NWPP, Chairman Bijukchhe stated that a true communist leader should focus on comprehensive change in the country rather than prioritizing family and relatives. He stressed the importance of devotion and sacrifice for those who identify as communists, asserting that living for society fosters equality and the establishment of socialism should be the ultimate goal.
Chairman Bijukchhe also made it clear that any actions endangering the country and its people must not be tolerated. Following his address, the convention proceeded to a closed session where district, province, and central level chiefs presented their reports, as informed by central member Saroj Gosain.
On the third day of the general convention, party secretary Prem Suwal is set to present a report, which will be thoroughly discussed by the leaders. The event, attended by approximately 300 representatives from 50 districts, is scheduled to continue until the following day.
