Dhaka: Speakers at a training workshop today emphasized that online certificate attestation through the apostil method is crucial for individuals pursuing higher education and employment abroad. Connecting with the international community by launching the apostil method marks a significant advancement for the country. This modern method will eventually encompass all government and non-government universities, medical colleges, and engineering institutes in phases.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, high-ranking government officials and academics made these observations during the opening day’s sessions of a workshop titled “apostille.mygov.bd” at Rajshahi University (RU). Mahmudul Hossain Khan, Secretary (Coordination and Reformation) of the Cabinet Division, addressed the meeting as the chief guest, with RU Pro-vice-chancellor Prof Mayeen Uddin presiding over the event.
The workshop was attended by 18 teachers and officers from institutions such as Rajshahi Medical University, Varendra University, North Bengal International University, Khaza Younus Ali University, Bangladesh Army University of Engineering and Technology, Rajshahi Science and Technology University, and the host Rajshahi University (RU).
Mahmudul Hossain Khan highlighted that the apostil method allows users to save time, effort, and money, while also relieving them from the various hurdles associated with certificate attestation in embassies, ministries, and offices.
RU Pro-vice-chancellor Prof Mayeen noted the difficulties of manual certificate attestation for higher education and employment overseas. However, he pointed out that attesting certificates and transcripts for job seekers and students aiming for higher studies abroad becomes significantly easier with the apostille.mygov.bd portal.
