Dhaka: Bangladesh and Vietnam held discussions today on establishing direct flights between Dhaka and Hanoi, aiming to enhance air connectivity between the two countries. The dialogue took place during a meeting between Vietnam’s Ambassador to Bangladesh, Nguyen Manh Cuong, and the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), Air Vice-Marshal Md Monjur Kabir Bhuiyan, at the CAAB headquarters in Dhaka.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting also focused on establishing a ground service agreement and improving aviation cooperation. The discussions emphasized the importance of expanding mutual collaboration in the aviation sector.
Representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy and Vietnam Airlines were also in attendance, highlighting the commitment from both sides to explore and potentially implement direct flight operations that would benefit both nations.
