Bangladesh Police Football Club finished third

position in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) football beating Chittagong

Abahani Limited by 3-2 goals in their last match of the league held today

(Saturday) at Bir Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj.

In the day’s match, forward Mohammad Abdullah, Colombian midfielder Mateo

Palacios and midfielder Robiul Hasan scored one goal each to secure victory

for Police FC.

Abdullah put Police FC ahead early in the ninth minute while Palacios doubled

the lead scoring the second goal in the 19th minute of the match.

Robiul Hasan scored the third goal for Police team in the 28th minute of the

match.

After the breather, Ojukwu David Ifegwu reduced the margin for Chittagong

Abahani in the 74th minute from a spot kick while forward Mohammad Naihan

scored the second goal for Chittagong Abahani Limited in the 90+4th minute of

the match.

With the day’s win, Police FC raised their tally to 35 points from 20 matches

while the port city team Chittagong Abahani Limited finished eighth position

with 21 points playing the same number of matches.
