Bhandara: The construction of the Bhandara-II Drinking Water Project has been completed in Bhandara of Rapti municipality-4, located in the Chitwan district. Minister for Water Supply, Pradeep Yadav, officially inaugurated the project on Wednesday, highlighting its significance to the local community.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the project is set to directly benefit 16,244 people across 3,200 households in Rapti municipality wards 4, 5, and 6. Previously, residents in these areas faced significant challenges due to a lack of access to clean drinking water. Minister Yadav expressed optimism that the project would provide a consistent supply of clean and safe drinking water.
Minister Yadav acknowledged the successful completion of this vital project, attributing it to the collective commitment, collaboration, and hard work of the federal government, consumers committee, and local communities. The project was constructed with an investment of Rs 98.6 million, as reported by the Federal Drinking Water and Sewerage Management Project, Bharatpur.
