Kathmandu: A total of 102 dead bodies retrieved from Trishuli and Narayani riverbanks have been brought to Pokhara for tests and identification.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Assistant Chief District Officer of Kaski, Chitrangad Baral, stated that the dead bodies were recovered in Dhading, Gorkha, Tanahun, and Nawalparasi Purba by security personnel and local residents. They were transported to Kaski due to the lack of capacity in the respective districts to manage the bodies.
Baral reported that 41 dead bodies from Nawalparasi Purba, 23 from Tanahun, 11 from Gorkha, and 27 from Dhading districts were brought to Western Regional Hospital in Pokhara on Thursday night.
Additionally, Baral noted that nine bodies recovered from various areas in Tanahun district were sent to the Manipal Hospital after undergoing tests at the Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences.
