Kathmandu: Ten people from Sudurpaschim Province who had been out of contact since the Bhotekoshi flood have established contact with security personnel. According to National News Agency Nepal, they had taken shelter in a safe place near Dhunche, Rasuwa.
They are Sunil Chaudhary, Chanda Joshi, Ajay Rana, Suresh Rana, Santosh Rana, Nabin Chaudhary, Aardash Chaudhary, Rakesh Bhatta, Pradip Chand of Kanchanpur, and Sunil Budhamagar of Dadeldhura, said Senior Superintendent of Police, Padam Bahadur Bista.
Of them, seven are hydropower workers and Chanda is a nursing student. The reasons why the remaining two had reached Rasuwa are yet to be ascertained.
However, 130 people from the Sudurpashim Province are yet to be contacted. They include 49 from Kailai, 34 from Kanchanpur, 14 from Bajura, 17 from Dadeldhura, eight from Baitadi, four from Darchula, two each from Doti and Bajhang and one from Achham.
They had reached Rasuwa for work as laborers, employees, and security personnel.
