Bicycle Rally Against Drugs Held in Thakurgaon

Thakurgaon: An anti-drug bicycle rally was held today in the district to raise social awareness against drugs with the slogan “Come, let’s change the country, and let’s change the world”. On the occasion of the Youth Festival 2025, deputy commissioner Ishrat Farzana inaugurated the program, organized by the Sadar Upazila administration, this afternoon.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the bicycle rally started from Thakurgaon Government Boys High School Baramath and paraded the main roads of the town, concluding at the same location. Upazila Executive Officer Khairul Islam was among the participants in the rally.

At the end of the rally, speakers highlighted the harmful aspects of various anti-social activities such as drugs, child marriage, kidnapping, theft, and other social ills. A call was made to raise voices against these social issues through the youth festival cycling competition.

After the competition, trees and books were distributed as prizes among the winners.
