Kathmandu: The family of Bipin Joshi, who is currently held captive by the Palestinian group Hamas, met with Prime Minister Sushila Karki on Sunday to seek her intervention for his release. Bipin’s mother, Padma, and sister, Pushpa, visited Prime Minister Karki at her office in Singh Durbar, urging her to initiate diplomatic efforts to secure Bipin’s freedom.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Prime Minister Karki assured the family that the government would make every effort to facilitate Bipin’s release. Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai, who was present at the meeting, confirmed the government’s commitment to pursuing diplomatic channels to resolve the situation.
