British Ambassador Fenn Engages in Strategic Dialogue with Nepal’s Energy Minister Ghising


Kathmandu: British Ambassador to Nepal, Rob Fenn, has paid a courtesy call on Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Kulman Ghising. During the meeting held at the Energy Ministry, Ambassador Fenn congratulated the newly appointed Minister Ghising and extended best wishes for his successful term.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the discussions covered friendship and collaboration between Nepal and the United Kingdom, UK’s support in the energy sector, potential infrastructure investments, and necessary measures to address climate change-related issues.



Minister Ghising emphasized the priorities of the current government, which include reconstruction of damaged structures, conducting elections, and ensuring good governance following the Gen-Z protest. He acknowledged the UK’s contributions to Nepal’s economic development, particularly in establishing charging stations to promote electric vehicle use and reduce carbon emissions.



Ambassador Fenn reiterated the UK’s long-standing friendship with Nepal and expressed commitment to supporting Nepal’s success and economic transformation. This assurance was shared by Minister Ghising’s Secretariat, highlighting the UK’s ongoing partnership with Nepal.
