Kathmandu: The Broader Civic Movement (Brihat Nagarik Andolan) has emphasized the urgent need to chart a successful path for the Gen Z revolution under the guidance of the President, who serves as the guardian of the Constitution. The Movement, in a recent press release, has urged for an active role of the President in navigating the current political landscape.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Movement’s release called upon the Nepali Army leadership to fulfill its responsibility in line with the Constitution and the historical duties assigned by the Gen Z revolution. The statement underscores the importance of strengthening the republic and secularism, which were founded on civic struggles.
The Movement also stressed the necessity of vigilance against the forthcoming ‘citizen government’ to ensure adherence to constitutional values and prevent corruption and irregularities. The civil society expressed readiness to support Gen Z in these efforts, highlighting their commitment to these principles.
