Buddhist Followers Praised for Contributions to World Peace, Says Tourism Minister.


Kathmandu: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Pandey has acknowledged the significant contributions of Buddhist followers in promoting world peace. At the Fourth World Peace Worship organized by the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) on Thursday, Minister Pandey highlighted the role of Buddhism in advocating for global harmony.

According to National News Agency Nepal, Minister Pandey emphasized that Buddhism offers a path to peace in a world increasingly focused on material wealth over knowledge. He remarked that Nepal, as the origin of Buddhism, serves as a source of peace and urged individuals worldwide to visit the country at least once in their lifetime. Pandey encouraged creating an environment that motivates visitors to return to Nepal.

Minister Pandey further expressed that unity and reconciliation are essential globally, as the world is akin to a family. He pointed out the ongoing search for peace as a means to protect the world from the impacts of climate change, and he call
