Butwal: The Butwal-Narayangadh road section under the East-West Highway has been completely blocked due to a landslide. The obstruction occurred in the Daunne area of Binayi Triveni Municipality-2 in Nawalparasi (Bardghat Susta East), as reported by Janak Raj Banjara, the head of the district traffic police office. Continuous rainfall has caused a landslide from above near Painsaththi Mod at Daunne, leading to the complete blockage of the road.
According to National News Agency Nepal, one-way traffic had been operating on the Daunne section since Wednesday morning due to the road becoming muddy from continuous rain, causing vehicles to slip. However, the road has been completely blocked from this afternoon.
The obstruction in the Daunne section has caused significant issues with vehicular traffic. Efforts are currently underway to clear the road, as stated by the Narayangadh-Butwal road project.
