Call for Eco-Friendly Projects in Real Estate Sector


Chattogram: A four-day housing fair commenced today, highlighting the necessity for sustainable and environment-friendly development in the real estate sector. The event is organized by the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) under the theme “Dream Housing-Green Country, Red and Green Bangladesh” and is taking place at a city hotel.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the fair features participation from leading real estate companies, financial organizations, and building material suppliers, among others, with 42 stalls showcasing a variety of products and services. The inauguration ceremony was graced by Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Dr. Shahdat Hossain as the chief guest, while Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram Metropolitan Police Amirul Islam attended as a special guest.



The function was presided over by REHAB vice president and co-chairman of the Chattogram Regional Committee, Haji Delwar Hossain. Other notable speakers included REHAB’s senior vice president, Liakat Ali Bhuiyan, and vice president, Wahiduzzaman, and the event was attended by REHAB board directors, members, and representatives from various organizations.



During his address at the inaugural ceremony, Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain urged entrepreneurs in the real estate sector to cooperate in transforming the port city into a green and clean urban area by adopting sustainable and eco-friendly projects. He also emphasized the importance of compliance with regulations set by the Chattogram Development Authority and adherence to the existing building code during the planning and implementation of projects.



In addition to the exhibition, participating companies are providing special discounts and gifts for buyers, while visitors have the opportunity to win attractive prizes daily through a lottery, according to the organizers.
