Kathmandu: Afghanistan has defeated Nepal in the Central Asia Volleyball Association (CAVA) Cup men’s volleyball tournament held in Bangladesh.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the match took place in Dhaka where Afghanistan triumphed over Nepal in straight sets with a 3-0 victory. Afghanistan claimed the first set with a score of 25-18. Nepal, however, did not win the second and third sets as initially reported. Instead, Afghanistan maintained their dominance throughout the match.
This defeat marks Nepal’s third loss in their fourth game of the tournament. Despite the setback, Nepal secured their first victory earlier in the competition by defeating the Maldives with a 3-0 scoreline. Prior to their match against Afghanistan, Nepal faced defeats against Tajikistan and Bangladesh in their opening matches.
