Kathmandu: Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre) and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has demanded a suitable answer from Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli regarding the dismissal of Kul Man Ghising, the Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), from his post.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Chair Dahal issued a warning of continued obstruction in the House of Representatives meeting if Prime Minister Oli fails to provide a satisfactory response to lawmakers. Speaking to media personnel after exiting the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor on Wednesday, Dahal asserted, “The PM should furnish a proper response in the House on dismissal of Ghising. Otherwise, HoR meeting will be obstructed continuously.”
Dahal disclosed that although a discussion with PM Oli was held on the issue of transitional justice, the matter of Ghising’s removal was not brought up during their talks. Meanwhile, lawmakers from the CPN (Maoist Centre), Rastriya Swatantra Party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, and CPN (Unified Socialist) expressed their protest over the issue during the Wednesday meetings of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly.
