Chair Oli Demands Fair Investigation of His Property


Kathmandu: Chairman of the CPN UML, KP Sharma Oli, has called for a fair investigation into his property and those of others if there are suspicions of illicit amassment. During a discussion with media editors organized by Press Chautari Nepal in the federal capital, Chairman Oli firmly stated that he has not engaged in any corrupt activities, emphasizing his commitment to good governance and his willingness to cooperate with any property investigations.



According to National News Agency Nepal, Chairman Oli addressed concerns related to the recent Gen-Z protest against corruption and the social media ban, highlighting that the protest was infiltrated, resulting in significant loss of life and property. He stressed the importance of establishing truth over acting on impulse and aggression, reinforcing his dedication to a decent and dignified life for every citizen and his loyalty to the prosperity, equality, and peace of the nation.



Chairman Oli also defended his stance, asserting that he speaks only the truth and has never deviated from it. He expressed confidence that the reality behind the protests will eventually come to light, and assured that the UML will continue to strive for peace, justice, and democracy. Additionally, he reiterated his party’s opposition to the dissolution of the House of Representatives, advocating for its restoration.



During the meeting, editors from various media outlets raised questions on topics including the Gen-Z protest of September 8, the devastation on September 9, security issues, party policy, government formation post-resignation, election preparations, and leadership matters.
