Birendranagar: Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Yam Lal Kandel, has emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean environment for a healthy life. At a cleanliness program organized by the Surkhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Birendranagar, coinciding with the Establishment Day of Karnali Province and Martyrs Day, CM Kandel stated, “Clean environment helps build a civilized and prosperous society and all stakeholders should fulfill their responsibilities and duties of keeping environment clean.”
According to National News Agency Nepal, CM Kandel highlighted the need for everyone to keep their surroundings clean, noting that a clean environment not only contributes to a healthy life but also reflects the identity of civilized citizens. He urged entrepreneurs and industrialists to engage in creative activities that transform waste into wealth, suggesting that such nature-friendly initiatives would enhance the living environment.
Additionally, CM Kandel called upon the residents of Karnali to celebrate the province’s establishment day for three days. Bhadra 4 is recognized as the establishment day of Karnali Province as well as Martyrs’ Day. The event was attended by the chief of security bodies, Deputy-Mayor of Birendranagar municipality, Nil Kantha Khanal, and the President of the Surkhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry, among others.
