Compensation Provided to 143 Affected People of Conservation Area


Darchula: The Api Nampa Conservation Area Office has announced financial compensation for 143 individuals who have suffered damage due to wildlife activities within the conservation area.



According to National News Agency Nepal, Information Officer Manoj Awasthi stated that the compensation will cover losses related to life, livestock, and crops as a result of wildlife interactions. In the current fiscal year, compensation has already been disbursed to 105 individuals, with an additional 38 cases recommended for compensation.



Last fiscal year, the office allocated Rs 1.5 million as compensation to 142 affected individuals, demonstrating ongoing efforts to address the impacts experienced by residents in the conservation area.
