Concrete Bridge Over Kawakhola Brings Relief to Bhojpur Residents


Bhojpur: The construction of a concrete bridge over the Kawakhola has been completed, connecting the district headquarters with the southern region of Bhojpur. The bridge links Ranibas of Hatuwagadhi Rural Municipality-2 and Manebhanyang in Ramprasadrai Rural Municipality-5, bringing relief to local residents.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the bridge was built at a cost of Rs 46 million, providing significant benefits to the citizens of the southern region of the district. Hatuwagadhi Rural Municipality Chair Prem Kumar Rai highlighted that the new infrastructure has facilitated vehicle movement and improved the marketing of agricultural produce.



Ward Chair of Hatuwagadhi-2, Bichari Thapa, expressed that the bridge has eliminated the risk residents faced when crossing the river. The foundation stone for the bridge was laid on 12 Falgun 2076 with financial support from the Swiss government. Although the bridge collapsed in Mangsir 2078 during construction, it was successfully rebuilt and completed, ensuring safer and more efficient connectivity for the region.
