Constitution Should Be Implemented, Gen-Z Representatives Say


Kathmandu: The representatives of Gen-Z have said that the fundamental rights of the citizens like education and health care were not provided to the people because of poor implementation of the constitution. At an interaction programme organized by NGO Federation on the occasion of the Constitution Day 2082, the speakers said that several fundamental rights included in the constitution were not implemented.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the Coordinator of Gen-Z Talks Committee from the Koshi Province, Uparjan Chamling, viewed that Gen-Z too has an equal role to institutionalize the achievements of the republic system. He suggested that all political parties should pay heed to youth participation in the upcoming elections since the Gen-Z protests were also for good governance and youth participation.



Gen-Z representative Mahendra Chand said that the voices against corruption raised by the youths led to the change in the government. Ajay Karki viewed that Gen-Z wants a complete implementation of the constitution to control the brain drain of youth population, which is fuelled due to unemployment.



Federation’s Chairman Arjun Kumar Bhattarai stated that all should unite to safeguard the constitution and new transformation, adding that the civil society was always ready for the facilitation.
