Chundi ramgha: Bhanu Literary Park is set to be constructed in Chundi Ramgha, the birthplace of the pioneering poet Bhanubhakta Acharya. The foundation stone for Bhanu Bhavan, the first phase of the park’s construction, will be laid on October 6, coinciding with the memorial day of poet Acharya.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the decision to commence the construction of the park was made during discussions between representatives of the Ministry of Urban Development and the office bearers of the Park Construction Committee, in the presence of President Ramchandra Paudel. Dr. Brataraj Acharya, General Secretary of the Bhanu Literary Park Construction Committee, shared that the construction is set to formally start on Bhanu Jayanti.
A master plan for Bhanu Literary Park was crafted based on President Paudel’s vision and initiative, aiming to develop Chundi Ramgha as a pilgrimage site for Nepali language, literature, and culture. The park will feature structures representing famous shrines from all seven provinces and statues of renowned writers from different mother tongues across the country.
The government has allocated Rs 200 million in the current fiscal year for the park’s construction.
