Kathmandu: Dr Khadga KC, the Rector of Tribhuvan University, has emphasized the importance of cultural transformation alongside governance reforms. Speaking at a seminar titled “Nepal’s Political System and Foreign Policy after the Gen-Z Movement,” organized by the Central Department of International Relations and Diplomacy and the Nepal International Relations Concern Community, Dr KC, who is also an expert in international relations, highlighted the country’s vision for good governance following the Gen-Z movement.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the seminar featured presentations from prominent figures including former Attorney General Dr Yubaraj Sangroula and Kathmandu University Associate Professor Dr Chandralal Pandey. Dr Sangroula stressed the necessity of acknowledging the transformation sought by the younger, protesting generation and advocated for a governance system that is more people-oriented. Meanwhile, Dr Pandey pointed out that the movement stemmed from widespread societal dissatisfaction and underscored the importance of discussing diplomatic relations to enhance Nepal’s international presence.
The event also included comments from former Minister Ganesh Shah and former Ambassador Khaganath Adhikari on the presented papers. Additionally, Dr Hari Prakash Chand, an international relations researcher, shared insights on the history, current state, and future prospects of Nepal’s international relations.
