CPN (Unified Socialist) Calls for Standing Committee Meeting to Address Intraparty Disputes


Kathmandu: The CPN (Unified Socialist) has announced that it will hold its standing committee (SC) meeting on September 10. The primary focus of this meeting is to address and resolve the ongoing intraparty disputes within the organization.



According to National News Agency Nepal, Damodar Aryal, the Deputy Chief of the party’s central publicity department, revealed that the meeting will cover a wide range of topics. These include the conventions of the party’s provincial, district, and other committees, as well as the party’s future strategies and internal conflicts.



In addition to resolving internal issues, Aryal mentioned that the meeting will also review the party’s political campaigns and their impact nationwide. Other agenda items include contemporary political issues, the socialist programme, and the party’s organizational behaviour.



Furthermore, the standing committee meeting is expected to endorse a proposal advocating for unity among likeminded left parties. The potential collaboration with other socialist parties is also set to be a topic of discussion during the meeting.
