Kathmandu: The National Dalit Commission has presented its annual report for the fiscal year 2081/82 to President Ramchandra Paudel. The report was delivered by the Commission Chair, Devaraj Bhishwakarma, during a function organized at the President’s Office.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the National Dalit Commission is a constitutional body established under Article 255 of the Constitution of Nepal. The Commission has been actively engaged in promoting the welfare of the Dalit community and working towards the eradication of caste discrimination and oppression. Its mandate includes studying and submitting reports to the Government of Nepal to facilitate the implementation of appropriate national policies and programs related to the Dalit people.
