Kathmandu: Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal has officially scheduled the election for the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives for Friday. This decision was made in accordance with Rule 8 of the Rules of Procedure of the House of Representatives, 2079.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Speaker Aryal announced the election date during a House of Representatives meeting. He also read a letter from the President’s Office regarding changes to the Cabinet’s order of precedence.
In other proceedings, Minister Geeta Chaudhary, representing Prime Minister Balendra Shah, presented the ‘Seventh Annual Report of the National Natural Resources and Finance Commission, 2082’. Additionally, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle sought permission to introduce the ‘Alternative Development Finance Mobilisation Bill, 2082’.
The current meeting of the House of Representatives has been adjourned, with the next session set for Friday at 4 pm.
