Bajhang: An earthquake tremor was felt at 12.09 pm today in Bajhang. The earthquake monitoring centre in Surkhet reported that the earthquake, measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale, had its epicentre around Saipal Himal in the neighbouring district of Bajhang.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the tremor also shook Bajura, causing panic among local residents. The western region has been experiencing frequent earthquakes, raising concerns about seismic activity.
Mountainous districts like Bajura, Bajhang, and surrounding areas of Sudurpaschim Province are at risk of earthquakes. The District Administration Office in Bajura has urged residents to take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
