PM Karki Reiterates Unity of NRNA as Milestone for National Progress


Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has expressed confidence that the unity declaration of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) will prove to be a milestone. Addressing the NRNA, International Committee Unity Declaration Programme at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Singha Durbar today, she called on the NRNA to understand the non-resident Nepalis’ interests and needs and to contribute to Nepal’s development and progress with a sense of being Nepali wherever they are.



According to National News Agency Nepal, PM Karki assured that the government will do its best to create an environment where non-resident Nepalis can enjoy the rights and facilities provided by the constitution and law. She acknowledged the hardships faced by Nepalis working abroad and highlighted the love they have for their country. “Do whatever you can for your land,” she urged, emphasizing the importance of their contributions.



She also addressed the impact of the Gen Z movement, noting the damage caused, including to national heritage, and likened it to stones being thrown into a calm pond. This situation, she stressed, needs evaluation, and she called for further support and suggestions for the country’s development.



The Prime Minister urged political maturity, stating that those who lose in elections should allow the victors to work, and losers should be motivated for future opportunities. She highlighted that political parties should learn from the unity shown by the NRNA.
