Myagdi: A German national was found dead at the Khopra area in Annapurna Rural Municipality-5 in Myagdi district on Monday afternoon. German national Weiser Astrid Elizabeth had been missing since November 25 while traveling from Myagdi to Kaski.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of District Police Office, Myagdi, Surya Bahadur Thapa, confirmed that her body was discovered approximately 160 meters off the road in Annapurna Rural Municipality-5, Myagdi. Local community members and tour guides alerted the police after spotting the body.
Police stated that the remains of the German national would be transported to Kathmandu for examination. Weiser had previously stayed in the Khopro area of Myagdi district before departing for Dobato area in Kaski. Authorities suspect that the German national may have fallen from a cliff.
