Amachhodingmo:Farmers in the Amachhodingmo Rural Municipality of Rasuwa district are grappling with road disruptions following a disaster on August 26, which has severely impacted their ability to transport agricultural produce.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the flood in the Bhotekoshi River has damaged several bridges and roadways, effectively cutting off the village. As a result, cabbages and potatoes produced in wards 1 and 5 are wilting in the fields due to the lack of transportation options.
In response to the crisis, local youths and representatives are working towards establishing makeshift bridges to support the farmers’ livelihoods. Efforts are underway to set up a wooden bridge at Syaphrubensi, with volunteers actively participating in restoring connectivity.
Key figures such as Ram Bahadur Tamang, Chairman of Ward No. 5, Dharma Tamang, Chairman of Ward No. 4, and Ward Secretary Chhewang are leading initiatives to unite intellectuals, social activists, and youths to construct a temporary bridge. This initiative aims to improve mobility for residents and facilitate the transportation of goods.
