KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel met with the visiting Minister for Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade of Finland, Ville Tavio, today. Their meeting took place at the Finance Ministry, culminating in the signing of an agreement focused on mobilizing public investment.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the agreement was signed by Dhaniram Sharma, Chief of the Foreign Aid Coordination Division at the Finance Ministry, and Rina Rikka Heika, the Finnish Ambassador to Nepal. The agreement pertains to the finance that will be mobilized under Finland’s public investment facility.
The project aims to strengthen socioeconomic infrastructures and promote sustainable development in Nepal, utilizing concessional finance. Finance Minister Paudel expressed his belief that this agreement would be fruitful in advancing the nation’s socioeconomic infrastructure development.
