Ljubljana:Saptari Recent floods have caused significant distress for 2,000 families as 500 houses were submerged in Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality and Hanumannagar Kangkalini Municipality due to relentless rainfall.
According to National News Agency Nepal, in Hanumannagar Kangkalini Municipality, 483 households were affected across wards 5, 7, 12, and 13. Additionally, flooding was reported in wards 4 and 5 of Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality.
Mayor of Hanumannagar Kangkalini Municipality, Birendra Majhi, stated that the Saptakoshi River’s water level surged on Friday night. He assured that those impacted would receive food daily and that more relief supplies would be distributed once the water levels recede.
