Ljubljana:Madhes Province Rainfall-induced disasters have struck various districts in Madhes Province, leading to significant damage and loss of life. A mudslide in the Anpgachhi area of Mithila Municipality-11 resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman, Kamala Shrestha.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the adverse weather conditions have left 300 houses inundated across the province. The districts affected by the rainfall include Saptari, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Bara, and Parsa, where both private homes and other structures have suffered damage.
In Saptari, particularly in the border area of Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality and Hanumannagar Kanakalini Municipality, 250 houses have been submerged. Additionally, 200 houses to the south of Koshi Barrage in Hanumannagar are also waterlogged.
