Kathmandu: Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has emphasized the importance of channeling the energy, creativity, knowledge, and skills of the new generation and youths towards the nation’s journey of prosperity. She highlighted that the responsibility now lies with the younger generation to steer the country forward.
According to National News Agency Nepal, in her message of best wishes on the occasion of Constitution Day, former President Bhandari asserted that it is crucial for everyone to embrace the demands, pressures, and assertiveness of the youth positively. This approach should be utilized for the betterment of the youth, the country, and its citizens.
She further stated that political parties bear a shared responsibility to work diligently to prevent political instability and chaos. Bhandari stressed the necessity for all sectors to unite in safeguarding the constitution and reinforcing democracy and the republic.
Additionally, former President Bhandari paid homage to those who sacrificed their lives in various movements for democracy and the republic. She also remembered those who perished during the Gen-Z protest on September 8 and 9.
