Good Governance and Development Emphasized as Priorities by PM Oli


Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli emphasized the importance of promoting good governance as a major campaign to fulfill the national aspiration of a ‘prosperous Nepal, happy Nepali’. Speaking at the 24th establishment day of the National Vigilance Centre at Singha Durbar, he called for adherence to the directive principles of the constitution while ensuring prompt and corruption-free services to citizens.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the Prime Minister, addressing an audience that included the government chief secretary, chiefs of security agencies, and government secretaries, stressed the need for the entire State mechanism to be proactive in promoting transparency and guaranteeing citizens’ rights to access services. He remarked that corrupt individuals in positions of power would not gain public trust.



The Prime Minister also referenced the United Nations’ commitment to leaving no one behind, affirming the government’s dedication to securing a dignified life for all citizens. He reiterated the need for collective efforts to promote good governance and eliminate backwardness, aiming to transform Nepal into a developed nation.



PM Oli expressed optimism that the National Vigilance Centre would play a vital role in realizing its vision and objectives.
