Kathmandu: The National Assembly members have put forth their views on various contemporary issues. During a special hour of the NA meeting today, they mentioned that financial discipline was not maintained in the absence of a transparent tax system. According to National News Agency Nepal, Narayan Dutta Mishra of the Nepali Congress stressed the need for making the tax system transparent. Urmila Aryal of the CPN (Maoist Centre) expressed concerns that women’s contributions to nation-building were not recognized yet, as they were still denied decision-making roles.

Meanwhile, Bishnu Devi Pudasaini of the Nepali Congress requested the government prioritize repairing roads damaged by landslides and floods following incessant rainfall in different parts of the country.
