Kathmandu: The government has officially declared a public holiday on the occasion of the Ramnawami festival. This decision was made during a Council of Ministers meeting held on March 17. The Ramnawami festival is set to be observed on April 6 this year.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, shared the announcement during a press conference at the Ministry. Minister Gurung, who also serves as the Government Spokesperson, outlined additional decisions made during the Cabinet meeting.
The meeting resulted in the appointment of Dinesh Prasad Bhatta from Baitadi as the Executive Chief of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA). Furthermore, directions were given to the Board of Directors of Janak Education Materials Centre Limited to appoint Yadunath Poudel from Arghakhanchi as its Managing Director.
Additionally, Pabitra Subedi from Surkhet and Ram Sharan Sapkota from Makawanpur have been appointed as members of the Teacher Service Commission, as confirmed by Minister Gurung.
