Dinajpur: Agriculture Secretary Dr. Mohammad Emdad Ullah Mia announced that the government is actively working to ensure that jute products benefit from stimulus opportunities typically afforded to agricultural goods. “The government has attached topmost priority on jute following the instruction of the chief adviser of the interim government as he is very keen to see multifaceted development of the sector. We are all trying together so that jute can be used as a profitable commodity in many ways,” he stated.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Mohammad Emdad made these remarks while inaugurating a day-long farmer training session on “Improved Varieties and Production Technology of Jute and Jute National Fiber Crops” organized by the Bangladesh Jute Research Institute (BJRI) in Nashipur, Dinajpur.
