Kathmandu: A five-point agreement has been reached between the government and the Nepal LP Gas Industry Association, resulting in the cessation of the industrialists’ protest programs. As part of this agreement, discussions were held at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, leading to a decision to increase the price of LP gas by Rs 12.75 per cylinder.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the finalized agreement sets the price of an LP gas cylinder at Rs 1,922.75. The meeting was attended by Secretary at the Ministry, Govinda Bahadur Karki, along with other government officials, who engaged in talks with the industrialists to address their concerns.
The price hike for LP gas cylinders is attributed to adjustments in external and internal transportation costs, as well as operational and administrative expenses.
