Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of M Shah Alam Talukder, former chairman of Lalanagar Union Parishad (UP) of Rangunia Upazila of Chattogram.
Shah Alam Talukder, the second son of Lalanagar Union’s philanthropist late Chan Box Talukder and younger brother of former MP Nurul Alam Talukder, passed away while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Chattogram this morning.
He was 62.
He left behind his wife, children, numerous relatives, friends and well-wishers to mourn his death.
In a message of condolence, the information minister, now on a visit to the United Kingdom (UK), prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Dr Hasan, also Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary, said that former chairman M Shah Alam Talukder was a shining example of self-dedication in the service of the local people.
